Toymaker: Ichida


Ichida began operations in Ishida, Japan in the 1950s and produced a number of great tin toy cars. They are still in existence today. Today, Ichida manufactures and sells kimonos, home furnishing, jewelry and financial products. They no longer produce and sell toys.

Description: This car was distributed by the Ideal toy company in the South American market. The remote has a steering wheel and buttons for forward and reverse. The car has a functional roof top emergency light.

Model: Remote Control Ford Mustang Coupe

Power: Battery

Length: 7 inches

Description: This Mustang fastback (incorrectly labeled a "coupe" on the box") was steerable and could go forward or reverse. It also has the "engine noise" feature but the noise more closely resembles a screech that a throaty V-8. A similar model was white and featured a horn sound.
