Toymaker: Bandai

Bandai is a Japanese toy making company based in Tokyo. It was founded in 1950. During the postwar period, Bandai specialized in vehicle toys, dominating that segment of the industry for more than 20 years. A powerhouse of Japanese toy making, Bandai produced a large variety of Mustang tin toys as evidenced by the number of cars displayed on this page. Some of its tin cars are sold under the name BOS, an acronym for Bandi Overseas Supply,a division of Bandai. Bandai thrives to this day as Japan's largest and most successful toy maker. In fact, it is the world's third largest producer of toys.
